IATM CONVENTION TURKEY FEBRUARY 2010
Unveiling of the GGA Environmental Awareness program web page and online community for guiding the planet to a better future.
Tour Guides and Tour Managers will join together during the IATM bi-annual Convention from in order to celebrate the start of the Green Guide Alliance; a new online community for promoting environmental awareness.
The Green Guide Alliance is a new environmental initiative focused on collecting and promotes environmentally friendly information and practices for the use of Tour Guides while on tour. This initiative is oriented to all professional Tour Guides and Tour Mangers of the world.
“Going Green on Vacation” is one of the premises that this new program proposes. Professional Tour Guides, Tour Directors, Travel Escorts, Tourist Guides and Tour Managers from all around the world will have the opportunity to collaborate, express their ideas and experiences by joining the GGA Community.
GGA is specially designed by the Tourism Industry for the Tourism Industry and operated in a non for profit capacity. The online forums collectively called the Symposium eCafe is the focal point of collaboration and just one of the tools available online for Tour Guides and Tour Managers.
The Green Guide Alliance is seen as a badge of quality in the Tourism industry and has already gained the support and sponsorship of the Prestigious International Association of Tour Managers IATM.
The IATM bi-annual Convention in Istanbul, Turkey from February 12th to 15th, 2010 is going to be the hosting event for the unveiling of the Green Guide Alliance Program by its Chairman Scott MacScott CTM.
